The Parc du Soleil is located in the Wahren district of Leipzig's Northwest district. It is located on the northern part of the Elsteraue. With an area of 4.61 km², the local area had a population of 7,132 people in 2018. The population density is 1,547 inhabitants/km². A part of the Leipziger Auewald stretches in the south, which is crossed by the White Elster and the Neue Luppe. The major cities of Hanover, Dresden, Bremen, Breslau and Groß Wartenberg can be reached directly via the federal highway 6. Public transport includes tram lines 10 and 11 as well as bus lines 80, 87, 88, 90, 91 and 190. Wahren station is served by S-Bahn trains every half hour.
