Macro situation

Jupiterstraße 44/44a is located in the Grünau-Nord district of Leipzig, part of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. As a result of the prefabricated buildings in the 70s and 80s, the location was also given the name residential complex 7. With an area of approx. 8.7 km², the district had a population of over 43,500 people in 2016, making it the largest district in Leipzig. The population density is 7,620 inhabitants/km². The municipality is characterized by a high proportion of open spaces and green spaces, which is nevertheless characterized by a modern cityscape. The historic village church is centrally located in Schönau. Other communities include the Catholic St. Martin Church and the Evangelical St. Paul Church. The eastern part of Lake Kulkwitz borders on the Grünau district. In addition to swimming facilities, the local recreation area also offers a diving school, water skiing facilities and boat rental. The Grünau district has a total of 20 schools, 17 sports halls, 6 retirement and nursing homes, 18 daycare centers, 14 pharmacies and over 80 registered doctors. More than 320 retail stores, the PEP shopping center and the Alle Center are located in the district. The good infrastructure is also characterized by a modern cycle and footpath system.
