Hohen Neuendorf

Macro situation

The town of Hohen Neuendorf is part of the Oberhavel district of Brandenburg. Since the 1990s, it has been one of the places with the most dynamic population growth in the Berlin area and now has more than 26,000 inhabitants. The main reasons for this are the attractive, wooded and water-rich area, the convenient location and the excellent transport connections. Hohen Neuendorf stretches west to the banks of the Havel and with its eastern Bergfelde district to the Barnim Nature Park. In the north, Birkenwerder joins, while in the south, the city borders directly on Heiligensee and Frohnau — two districts of Berlin's Reinickendorf district.
